Ironbark fencing and gate project by Darren Skewis Fencing in Qld

This Ironbark fencing and gate project in Warwick Queensland is a great example of design, earning its inclusion as a finalist in the Fencing Design category of the Australian Fencing Awards for 2021.

Installed by Darren Skewis Fencing in Warwick, QLD, they faced a lot of difficulty in sourcing and obtaining high quality timber for the job, but once they surpassed this challenge, it’s evident that they were able to create a fence that made people stop and remark ‘this is the best fence I’ve ever seen’.

Products used on the project included:

  • All Red Ironbark
  • 200 x 200 gate posts
  • 150 x 150 intermediate posts
  • 150 x 50 rails and capping
  • 150 x 25 rough sawn boards
  • 145 x 19 dressed boards for gate
  • 5m steel framed sliding gate frame with 145 x 19 boards
  • 1400mm steel framed gate with 145 x 19 boards

Darren Skewis Fencing rose to the test with this project to create a picture-perfect Ironbark Fence.
